Thropic Games Raises Pre-Seed Round Led by The Famous Group

Collaboration Combines the Power of Thropic Games and the Vixi Suite to Help Colleges Engage Fans and Generate Revenue for NIL and Fundraising Initiatives

Denver, Colo. — June 30, 2026 — Thropic Games, the company that turns quick, casual games into a new way for fans to support their favorite teams, today announced it has raised a pre-seed funding round led by The Famous Group, the premiere creative technology company behind some of the most unforgettable moments in live sports. The size of the round was not disclosed.

Fans play custom casual games on their phone from anywhere or right from their seats in the stadium. And every time a fan plays, they have an opportunity to help their favorite team and increase their odds to win. The games are free and any fan can play for a chance to win prizes while powering their favorite program.

The Famous Group has spent two decades creating fan experiences at live events. It's patented Vixi technology lets fans interact with stadium video screens from their phones and is used in more than 500 venues across 15 countries, including the Super Bowl and NBA All Star Game. Fast Company named the Famous Group the No. 1 Most Innovative Company for Sports. Through the investment and partnership, The Famous Group's Vixi technology will connect with Thropic's games, giving fans in the stadium a way to play and support their team alongside fans watching from home.

“We’ve spent twenty years turning fans into the story at the biggest events in the world. Thropic Games takes that same energy and gives it a purpose — a fun, simple way for every fan to actually help their team. This is another fan technology that fits into our fan engagement solutions. Our investment in Thropic Games reflects our belief that fan engagement and fundraising can work hand in hand. It’s a perfect fit with what we do, and that’s why we led this round.”

— Jon Slusser, CEO, The Famous Group

Thropic’s games have already gone to work for some of the biggest names in sports and giving, including Colorado, Syracuse, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss, the College Basketball Crown tournament, St. Jude, and NBCUniversal — helping each one turn passionate fans into real support, seven days a week and from anywhere.

This season, Thropic is expanding through its national partnership with TheLinkU. Together with The Famous Group’s Vixi technology, Thropic will bring its games to programs like Ole Miss, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Cal, Houston, Boise State, Florida International and more to be announced. Fans play for free and, if they choose, can donate to their favorite program for a chance to win once-in-a-lifetime prizes. Driving real impact to their team on the field in the new NIL world. It’s fan support for everyone, no matter the budget.

“People love to play games. They love to compete. They love to win. And they love to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Thropic provides the chance for every fan, no matter their situation, to help their team while having fun. This is gaming for good.”

Kyle Christensen, Founder and CEO, Thropic Games

Thropic doesn’t plan to stop at college. The same play-and-give experience works for high school, youth sports, nonprofits and anyone trying to drive impact of every size. Thropic’s goal is simple: democratize fundraising and get rid of the blue-link ask.

Alongside The Famous Group, the round includes a group of strategic angel investors from across the gaming, fundraising, and sports worlds.
